Moroccan Inventor Wins Top Prize for Heart Failure Device in Qatar's "Stars of Science"

Moroccan Youssef El Azouzi was awarded the title of Best Arab Inventor, for the 11th season of the reality TV show "Stars of Science" in Qatar. He receives this distinction for his invention of a "Blood Flow Adjustment Stent".

The invention of the young Moroccan, Youssef El Azouzi, designed to assist patients with congestive heart failure, has won over the jury and received the vote of the Qatari public.

Before benefiting from the trust of the public and the jury, Youssef and his challengers were subjected to an essential test aimed at proving the feasibility of using their inventions and determining the design of these products to meet consumer needs.

A graduate of the American School of Rabat, the young inventor studied at the University of Oxford in the UK, then at Boston University, before embarking on medical studies in English at Turkish universities.

Launched in 2009 on the initiative of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, "Stars of Science" is an educational and entertaining reality TV show. It aims to reward the inventions of young people aged 18 to 35, to encourage them to design assistive technologies to bring about positive change in their communities.
