Moroccan Internet Users Spend 3+ Hours Daily on Mobile, Favor Foreign Content

To connect to the internet, Moroccans mainly use their phones. They spend more than 3 hours a day on it, either to get information or to get training.
This finding is contained in the survey report carried out by the international consulting firm Kepios, on the behavior of Moroccan internet users, reports Le Matin, specifying that the study took into account a population aged between 16 and 64 years old.
Entitled "Digital 2022 Global Overview Report", the report reveals that the mobile represents 53.9% of web traffic in the Kingdom, just below the global average (54%), adding that Moroccan internet users are avid for foreign language content. 43.1% of Moroccan internet users, aged 16 to 64, use online translation tools, it specified.
Concretely, the majority of Moroccans connect primarily to get information or get training. Blogs, music, finance and health are the areas that record the most web searches. For example, 22.5% of them consult online health services that allow them to interpret symptoms and suggest a medical diagnosis.
As for social networks, 63.4% of the studied population are users of the platforms, with an average of 2 hours 29 minutes (2 hours 27 minutes worldwide). On average, a Moroccan internet user uses 5.8 different social media platforms, the document notes, specifying that Facebook remains the most popular social network, with 65% of internet users.
