Moroccan Highway Unions Allege Mismanagement by ADM Chief Executive

Three unions in the road sector accuse the CEO of the National Motorway Company of Morocco (ADM), Anouar Benazzouz, of having concluded in a hurried and improvised manner, agreements and contracts without any gain for the company.
The three unions are affiliated with the trade union center the Moroccan Union of Labor (UMT); the National Union of ADM Executives, the National Union of Employees of ADM Operating Centers and the National Union of Administrators, Technicians and Executive Agents of ADM, details Al 3omk, adding that they also blame him for the non-compliance with agreements signed with social partners relating to labor law and trade union freedoms. In their document, they denounce the ambiguity, improvisation, confusion, and solitary management that characterize Benaâzzouz’s management, particularly through contracts concluded with certain consulting firms, in the absence of any participatory approach.

Continuing the list of their grievances, the unions also cite the contempt for human resources which nevertheless have a strategic role in developing the quality of services provided to users of national highways and this economic sector in general. Also, the three unions call on the supervisory authority to require the management to respect the law and its multiple commitments and to put an end to the persecutions and attacks on trade union freedoms, particularly during and after the professional elections.
