Moroccan Health Minister Sues Blogger Over COVID-19 Contract Allegations

Moroccan blogger Mayssa Salama Ennaji is the subject of a complaint filed against her by the Minister of Health. Khalid Ait Taleb has decided to prosecute her personally for accusations she did not make, but about which she questioned the minister.
The minister is accused by some media of "having awarded contracts for coronavirus tests and medical equipment without tenders and at unimaginable prices, of having neglected Moroccan initiatives and of poor management. Accusations that have reached Parliament," explains Mayssa Salama Ennaji, who shares on her Facebook page the double silence of the minister and parliament on these accusations.
The blogger adds: "When I posted a video asking him to respond to these accusations, (providing my sources to the police)," the minister leaves all these sources (media, parliamentary and social networks) to prosecute her personally.
The blogger indicates that all her answers have nevertheless been transcribed by police officers in Rabat whom she salutes for "their great professionalism".
This is the third time she has been summoned to the wilaya of security in Rabat, says Mayssa Salama Ennaji, who recalls that the first time was in 2016 following a complaint from the former Minister of the Environment, Hakima El Haite.
