Moroccan ’Healer’ Faces Trial in Doctor’s Death After Alleged Miracle Cure

The trial of an individual presented as a "healer", accused of being responsible for the death of a doctor in Rabat, will open tomorrow, Thursday, before the court of first instance.
The victim, the wife of a renowned doctor in Rabat, suffered from a chronic illness. In despair, she turned to the accused, who promised her a miraculous cure for a sum of 300,000 dirhams. The Raqi would then have administered potions whose exact composition remains unclear.
Unfortunately, the health of the doctor deteriorated rapidly after taking these substances, leading to her tragic death. The victim’s husband, noting the situation, filed a complaint against the accused for failure to assist a person in danger, fraud and administration of substances harmful to health.
The investigating judge, after examining the file, decided to refer the accused to justice to answer these charges.
