Moroccan Hajj Pilgrimage Costs Set at 49,906 Dirhams for 2019 Season

The pilgrimage (Hajj) fees for the 1440/2019 season are now known and must be paid in a single installment between February 18 and March 1 next, the Royal Commission for the Pilgrimage has just announced.
Thus, the amount has been set at 49,906 dirhams, an amount that does not cover pocket money, the commission specifies, according to which, the payment can be made at the Al Barid Bank offices in the various prefectures and provinces of the Kingdom.
These costs include accommodation and meals in Mecca and Medina, transportation and additional services in Mina and Arafat, baggage transportation, additional buses within the holy sites, round-trip travel tickets, the supervision fee and vaccination and Al Barid Bank service fees, in addition to the 5% VAT imposed by the Saudi authorities.
Last year, it had been recommended that pilgrims take out travel insurance abroad, especially those suffering from illnesses that could worsen with the trip, knowing that the official delegation already provides for the ordinary medical care of each pilgrim, including the medical evacuation of the patient, the repatriation of the body in the event of death, as well as the round-trip air travel for a relative of the insured.
