Moroccan Golfer Ines Laklalech Makes Pro Debut at Saudi Ladies International

Moroccan golfer Ines Laklalech will participate, for the first time as a professional, in the Aramco Saudi Ladies International to be held from March 17 to 20, 2022 at the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club and King Abdullah Economic City (Saudi Arabia).
A member of the Ladies European Tour (LET), Moroccan golfer Ines Laklalech is one of the golfers competing in the Aramco Saudi Ladies International, reports Gulf News. She secured her ticket in December 2021. She is the second Arab woman to participate in this competition as a full member of the Ladies European Tour. Her goal is to inspire the next generation of Arab girls around the world. According to her, they have opportunities that did not exist in the past to seize.
Ines Laklalech says she is "happy to participate in the Aramco Saudi Ladies International. I didn’t play in Kenya [the first LET event of 2022] so this is my first tournament of the season." In 2020, she had participated in this tournament as an amateur. "The Saudi Ladies International was actually the first LET event I played as an amateur in 2020. So this will be my second LET tournament, in the same place as the first, but this time as a professional."
The Moroccan golfer is eager to get into the competition. "In 2020, it was a big, big tournament and experience, I loved it - especially because it was in an Arab country, which for me made it even more special. This time, I know a little more what to expect, and I’m very, very excited to play. The course is great, the windy conditions mean things can get very interesting and tough out there, so I’m excited."
