Moroccan Film Pioneer Noureddine Saïl Dies at 73; Wife Shares Emotional Tribute

The journalist, Nadia Larguet, paid a heartfelt posthumous tribute to her husband, Noureddine Saïl, who died on Wednesday at the age of 73 from a Covid-19 infection.
"Noureddine, you asked me to promise you 3 things: to watch over your last sunset "Souleimane", to remain strong in all circumstances, and to preserve your trust in me," Larguet wrote on her Facebook page, describing her husband as a true pioneer of his time.
"Know that I will always live up to your trust. In 20 years, we have been through so much together, despite a difficult start. My last message: rest in peace," she added.
A true enthusiast of cinema and Africa, the former director of the Moroccan Cinematographic Center (CCM) was, according to his wife, a simple, modest and very courageous being. "Devoted to his work, he is a symbol, a man for eternity."
