Moroccan Family Uncovers Massive Land Fraud Scheme in Inheritance Dispute

As they were preparing to sell the 9-hectare plot of land in Berrechid, inherited from their late father, the brothers found that it had been sold to individuals who claim to be the owners. This plot would have been sold to them by one of them, who died in Spain, a year after the death of the deceased.
These new buyers have become the owners of this plot by setting up this scam plan, reports Assabah. According to these forgers, they would have signed the deed of transfer with their brother who died in Spain. Upset by this sordid affair, the heirs filed a complaint with the public prosecutor at the court of first instance in Berrechid.
These brothers accuse the opposing party of forgery and use of forgery. The investigation opened on this subject by the Royal Gendarmerie has revealed that the heirs, numbering five, had indeed been victims of a scam.
According to the same daily, the documents attesting to the sale by their deceased brother proved to be false and the land in dispute being in the name of the family father and not in the name of the deceased.
For the time being, the heirs want to lift the blockage on the sale operation they wanted to carry out. The court has done justice to them at first and second instance. But the decision could not be carried out, the administrative blocking measure still being in force.
