Moroccan Expats Protest in Casablanca Over Bab Darna Real Estate Fraud Case

The victims of the Bab Darna real estate group, including MREs, have once again demonstrated in front of the Casablanca Court of Appeal. They demand that justice accelerate the process to allow the restitution of the money diverted by the leaders of Bab Darna currently detained in the Oukacha civil prison in Casablanca.
The demonstration lasted about 18 hours during which the demonstrators, including MREs, chanted slogans hostile to the leaders of Bab Darna and called on the justice system to speed up the legal procedure against the main accused. They want the amount that was fraudulently taken from them to be returned to them as soon as possible.
Among the people incarcerated in this case is Mohamed El Ouardi, the CEO of the Bab Darna real estate group. He is suspected of having transferred the funds of his victims to Panama. During a recent meeting with Attorney General Hassan Daki, the representatives of the victims discussed this embezzlement and requested the opening of an investigation. The funds would have been used in a Panamanian investment group called "BOD CAPITAL", whose headquarters is located in Panama. The National Brigade of the Judicial Police of Casablanca is currently in charge of this new investigation.
In view of these new elements, the defense of the victims requests that an audit be carried out on the bank accounts of the companies belonging to the accused, in order to determine the flow of funds and the transfers made.
