Moroccan Expats in North America Protest Royal Air Maroc’s Soaring Ticket Prices

Moroccans residing in the United States and Canada denounce the worrying increase in airfare prices to and from Morocco since the beginning of this year.
Moroccan expatriates in the United States and Canada are complaining about the constant rise in Royal Air Maroc ticket prices for destinations as far away as North America. They want the Moroccan airline to revise its fares downwards and offer preferential prices to cope with competition.
Khadija Arouhal, a deputy of the Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS), has addressed a written question to the Minister of Transport and Logistics, asking what measures he intends to take to support airfares between North America and Morocco to allow Moroccans in this region to travel to Morocco this summer as part of the Marhaba Operation.
Beyond ticket prices, it is also urgent to proceed with the expansion of Moroccan airports in order to strengthen their operational capacities and enable them to accommodate large aircraft usually serving long-haul routes, insisted the parliamentarian who calls for these works to be carried out before the 2030 World Cup that Morocco will co-host with Spain and Portugal.
