Moroccan Expats Boost Investment: 130 New Companies in Fez-Meknes Region

Moroccans of the World created 130 companies in the Fez-Meknes region during the first half of the current year, according to a press release from the Regional Investment Center (CRI).
Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) attach importance to investing in the Kingdom. In doing so, they create wealth and jobs for their compatriots. Thus, they have set up 130 companies in the Fez-Meknes region. By breaking down by sector of activity, we note the predominance of services, with 33%, followed by the trade sector, with 30%, reports the MAP.
Taking into account the nature of these companies, the same source indicates that 98% of them are Limited Liability Companies, SARL.
The year 2018 was generous in terms of business creation at the level of the Fez-Meknes region. In total, 4,509 were created, i.e. 20% more than in 2017. Better, it was marked by a positive evolution of the quantitative and qualitative balance sheet, concerning entrepreneurship and investment projects, had indicated the same media, referring to the 2018 CRI Activity Report. These projects, according to the same report, should generate some 8,611 jobs in the long run.
The breakdown of these new production units by area reveals that the Fez counter is in the lead with 1,828 companies, i.e. 41% of the total, followed by that of Meknes, with 1,781 companies, for 39%, the same media also specifies.
