Moroccan Evacuees from Wuhan in Good Health, Set to End Quarantine Soon

While Wuhan, the metropolis in central China where the epidemic originated, has been cut off from the world for several weeks, the Moroccans repatriated from this city are in good health and awaiting their return home. An official from the Ministry of Health indicates that the lifting of the medical observation of the repatriates could take place in the coming days.
It is a fact. The 167 Moroccan nationals repatriated from China are in good health and should be able to return to other occupations by then. According to the head of the communicable disease control division at the Ministry of Health, "they are now under medical observation, under the supervision of a commission composed of the relevant authorities." This control is a routine and preventive measure, to avoid any risk of contamination.
When they were repatriated, more than a week ago, on board a RAM plane that landed in Benslimane, they were placed in quarantine. Morocco is taking the coronavirus epidemic very seriously, which has reached several countries and whose death toll has already far exceeded 1,000 in China.
But fortunately, the Moroccan embassy in Beijing indicated last Saturday that no case of coronavirus contamination had been recorded among the Moroccan community in China. In a statement, the embassy stresses that the crisis cell created within the embassy, in coordination with the Moroccan and Chinese authorities, is constantly monitoring the evolution of the situation in all regions of the People’s Republic of China.
Among other measures taken to remain attentive to the Moroccan community in China, four green lines have been made available to nationals who would like to have information or report a situation related to the epidemic.
Two days ago, the Moroccan students repatriated from Wuhan appeared in a photo, taken outside the pavilion where they are housed, in the Sidi Saïd hospital in Meknes. During this brief appearance, they expressed their thanks and gratitude to King Mohammed VI, while reassuring their loved ones of their perfect state of health.
