Moroccan Engineer Pioneers Eco-Friendly 'Ecodomes' Inspired by Traditional Architecture

A young Moroccan is proposing housing that constitutes a real revolution by combining quality, style, beauty and respect for the environment. A concept developed and implemented by the engineer Youness Ouazri, these houses called ecodomesare a tribute to Moroccan architectural heritage.

These are ecological homes, according to Youness Ouazri, the CEO of Ecodome Maroc. The houses are made from natural resources such as earth, stone, wood, straw and sugar cane. The goal is to reduce construction costs and at the same time contribute to the protection of nature.

By creating this company in 2016, the young engineer wanted to offer an alternative to those who want to have houses away from the noise, at a lower cost but comfortable. And he succeeded with these types of housing which, in addition to their impressive architecture, offer many other advantages, according to the engineer. "Within Ecodome Maroc, we have developed expertise that allows people to build this type of dwelling anywhere, regardless of the climate," reports Voaafrique.com.

According to him, the materials used in the construction of the houses vary from one region to another but the principle remains the same, they must come from a local source. The precautions are the same as for conventional constructions. The soil must be analyzed to ensure its quality. Youness Ouazri is delighted with the welcome given to these types of housing and hopes that together the Moroccans will get involved to contribute to reducing environmental pollution, specifies the same source.
