Moroccan Designer Hicham Lahlou Joins Elite Daum Crystal Artists with ’Oryx’ Sculpture

Moroccan designer Hicham Lahlou has joined the prestigious catalog of art editions of the famous international French luxury brand with unique know-how, "Daum", with his work "Oryx" published in a limited, numbered and signed edition.
Thanks to this recognition of merit, the Moroccan joins the very exclusive circle of celebrities such as the Spaniards Dali and Carlos Mata, the Frenchman Richard Orlanski, the Beninese Romuald Hazoumé, the American Hilton MacConnico and the Mexican Pedro Ramirez Vazquez, reports the MAP.
For having imagined and reinterpreted an Oryx that Daum has sublimated with its crystal paste, the Moroccan designer is considered the precursor of urban industrial design in Morocco.
The Moroccan artist indicates that in achieving the feat, he wanted to honor his African origins through an emblematic animal of the savannah that he has sublimated in a pure and fluid design. Presenting it in a limited edition in the prestigious "Art Edition" catalog of the great French brand Daum is a real consecration, he recalls.
This internationally renowned artist also maintains that he has given his Oryx an almost mystical presence by relying on the so characteristic silhouette of this African animal. Its intense amber color and its gilded bronze horns add to the magic, arousing emotion and curiosity, recalling the beauty of the oryx.
