Moroccan Court Sentences Child Killer to Death in High-Profile Murder Case

The criminal chamber of the Tangier Court of Appeal has rendered its verdict in the trial of the murder of Adnane Bouchouf. The main defendant was sentenced to death on Wednesday morning.
Four months after the assassination of the 11-year-old boy, the 24-year-old killer was found guilty of the charges of kidnapping, sequestration, indecent assault and premeditated murder.
Three other individuals, prosecuted as part of this case, were each sentenced to 4 months in prison for "concealment of a crime committed" and "failure to report the facts."
On September 7, Adnane Bouchouf had been kidnapped by an individual and taken to an apartment near the family home. The child had been sexually assaulted and then killed. He had been found buried under a tree near his home.
