Moroccan Court Orders 114 Million Dirham Payment to Businessman Hassan Derham

In the case that opposed him to the heirs of his Franco-Algerian associate, Hassan Derham prevailed. The justice system has just ruled in favor of the Sahrawi businessman and former socialist deputy, thus restoring his rights.

The verdict has been handed down and Hassan Derham can finally rejoice. Threatened with bankruptcy, following an alleged fraud by his associate, the Sahrawi businessman was on the brink of the abyss and his empire was only holding on to this verdict which would finally allow him to hope again.

Indeed, the Court of Appeal of Agadir, which handed down its verdict, ordered the heirs of his Franco-Algerian associate to pay him the sum of 114,008,228.76 dirhams, reports the daily Assabah.

This is, Assabah believes, a sum of money that would have been "embezzled through transfers made by his associate to France".

The associate in question would have used his partnership with the Sahrawi businessman to carry out several embezzlement operations as well as transfers of large sums of money to other destinations.

To try to find an amicable solution to this case, several personalities have nevertheless intervened, such as the Minister of Agriculture, and Mohamed Boussaid, former Minister of Finance, Aziz Akhannouch, or even the former Minister of the Interior, Mohamed Hassad. But in vain. It is therefore after the failure of many mediation attempts that the case was brought before the courts.
