Moroccan Consul General in Corsica Dies, Leaves Legacy of Diplomatic Achievements

Mohamed Harrak, Moroccan Consul General in Bastia since October 2017, has passed away. He was, along with the Moroccan Ambassador to Paris, one of the architects of the launch of an air link between Bastia and Fez on July 3, 2021.
The Moroccan diplomacy is in mourning. Mohamed Harrak, Moroccan Consul General, has passed away, reports le Courrier de l’Atlas. Holding a doctorate in political science, he was a university professor and researcher at the Center for Studies and Research on the Police (CERP). In Morocco, he held several positions of responsibility: twice as an advisor in the office of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad, in the Directorate of International Organizations and as head of service on Algeria and Mauritania.
Abroad, he was posted in Spain (Madrid and Girona) and Portugal (Lisbon), before settling in Bastia, where he was appointed Consul General in Corsica in October 2017. A position he held until his death. He worked, with the Moroccan Embassy in Paris, for the launch of an air link between Bastia and Fez, on July 3, 2021.
