Moroccan Composer Sues Over Rights to Hit Song "Enty" by Saad Lamjarred

Composer Mohamed Rifai has sued DJ Van over the song "Enty" performed by Saad Lamjarred in 2014.
Mohamed Rifai accuses DJ Van of illegally appropriating the rights to the song "Enty" and exploiting it as if he were the owner. In a statement to Madar21, he said the case is currently before the Court of Appeal in Marrakech. Lyricist Samir Al Majari has also sued DJ Van in this case. The two composers have hired lawyer Abdelfettah Yatribi from the Rabat bar to defend their interests. Rifai and Al Majari maintain their right to a share of the profits from the song, which generates millions of views after reaching millions of views.
These two composers have the support of Saad Lamjarred, who performed "Enty" in 2014. A song that propelled the Moroccan singer’s career. Its success in the Arab world and in many foreign countries has motivated several young artists to reinterpret it. Among them, Rajaa Belmir and her brother, who gained fame thanks to this song and saw it as the beginning of a musical career. Thanks to the success of "Enty", he has become the most sought-after Moroccan composer in the Arab world. He has collaborated with many Arab artists.
While composers Rifai and Al Majari are pursuing Dj Van in prison, the latter remains impassive. He claims to hold the legal rights that give him full control of the song.
