Moroccan City Faces Growing Stray Dog Problem as Woman Files Lawsuit After Attack

A woman claiming to be threatened by stray dogs in Salé has filed a complaint with the court of first instance in the city.
The woman, who was attacked by about twenty stray dogs in front of her house in Salé, filed a complaint with the court of first instance in the city, reports the daily Al Akhbar. She says she was traumatized by this situation in which she feared for her life.
Like this woman, several other residents complain about the spread of stray dogs in the neighborhoods and alleys of the city. A phenomenon that is growing, under the eyes of the authorities who are slow to take their responsibilities to preserve the health and safety of the local population. For its part, the municipal council promises to find a lasting solution.
The residents of the city of Salé, and in particular those whose residences are close to empty spaces, suffer from the nocturnal barking of stray dogs, which disrupts their sleep. These animals pose a threat to their physical safety, especially since their bite can transmit serious diseases such as rabies and even cause death.
