Moroccan City Cracks Down on Noisy Wedding Celebrations

Following complaints from residents of Ksar El Kebir, the city’s pasha has taken measures to limit the disorder caused by the organization of wedding parties and tents set up in streets and neighborhoods.
The cries of Ksar El Kebir residents, who suffer from the nuisance caused by loudspeakers and fireworks accompanying the organization of wedding parties and the installation of tents in streets and neighborhoods, have been heard. The pasha of Ksar El Kebir has made a new decision in this regard, which is based on the content of municipal decree No. 41 published in June 2013, concerning the closure of halls at midnight and the stopping of loudspeakers after this time. It also prohibits the use of fireworks and firecrackers inside and outside the halls.
A decision welcomed by the residents of Ksar El Kebir. They believe that this measure, which they consider judicious, will contribute to improving the general atmosphere in the city. This is also the case in many cities in Morocco, which complain of the same nuisances, especially during summer holidays when many families organize wedding parties.
