Moroccan Child Mauled by Stray Dogs Shows Signs of Recovery in Casablanca Hospital

The health of the child, attacked by stray dogs in the city of Goulmima (province of Errachidia), is stable.
According to the officials of the hospital under the Ibn Rochd University Hospital Center (CHU) in Casablanca, to which the victim was evacuated last Wednesday, "the child communicates with his entourage and is the subject of special medical and psychological attention".
During this attack, which occurred on February 9, the victim suffered injuries of varying degrees of severity, especially to the face, head, leg and thigh, the health officials said.
Thanks to the care received at the Hassan II University Hospital in Fez, from the teams of different specialties of the August 20 hospital, including maxillofacial surgery, anesthesia-resuscitation, pediatric psychiatry, pediatrics and pediatric surgery, plastic and aesthetic surgery and ophthalmology, the health of this 12-year-old child is stable.
In addition, the Ministry of Health has covered all the expenses related to the care, given the child’s health condition and the social conditions of his family.
