Moroccan TV Channel Apologizes for Error in Royal Title During Ramadan Broadcast

The management of the Medi 1 TV channel explained an "typing error" that crept into the text banner of the "Ramdan m’3ana" program, which aired on Sunday before the breaking of the fast.
"During the live broadcast of the ’Ramdan m’3ana’ program, just before the breaking of the fast on Sunday, April 7, a typing error crept into the text banner illustrating the subject covered, and was corrected 1 minute and 7 seconds after its broadcast," the channel’s management said in a statement released on Wednesday.
Following the incident, the channel’s management opened an investigation to determine the responsibilities. At the end of the investigations, disciplinary proceedings were initiated against the journalist who committed the error in question, the note indicates. Medi 1 TV management took the opportunity to denounce the "unfounded information" disseminated by some electronic media and social networks, "damaging the integrity of the channel and the dignity of its managers."
