Moroccan-British Family’s Vacation Home Seized by Drug Gang in Nador

A Moroccan family whose 7 members hold British nationality, was dispossessed of its property located in Nador, between the beach and Martichka, by a Moroccan mafia. A complaint has been filed with the Prosecutor of the King near the Court of First Instance of Nador.
Settled in England for 30 years, the family, who had the habit of spending the summer holidays in their property acquired in 2003, was surprised, on July 29, to find it occupied by members of a drug mafia.
Wanting to recover their home which has been vandalized and burglarized, the family members were violently attacked with a knife and then threatened with extermination before being dispossessed of their property, with total impunity.
According to Casapress, the family, unable to cope with this mafia that uses force and its network of contacts to seize the property of others, tried to file a complaint with the Beni Nsar police station, but its request was rejected by the officer, on the pretext that the area is not within its jurisdiction.
The site adds that this mafia has a very developed network at all levels, and often uses brute force to compel its victims, especially Moroccans living abroad (MRE), to abandon their real estate and return to Europe, for fear of being murdered.
Terrorized and fearing any misfortune, the family finally resigned itself to leaving Morocco for Great Britain where it has turned to a human rights association to be able to defend its rights.
