Moroccan-Born Paris Restaurateur Provides Free Meals to Orphans of Crime Victims

Thursday 29 December 2022, by Sylvanus

In Paris, a restaurateur of Moroccan origin is making a beautiful gesture towards people in need, especially orphans whose parents have been victims of criminal acts.

Since 2018, Brahim Bourika, a restaurateur of Moroccan origin, has been showing generosity towards people in need. At the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, he had distributed free meals to financially struggling students. The young restaurateur does not hesitate to respond to the requests of the association "Les Mamans du Ciel". During this end-of-year holiday season, he offered hamburgers to 150 children whose parents have been victims of criminal acts, reports the Anadolu agency. "What makes me happy," Brahim confides, "is that many people mobilize to contribute when I try to help. Even if it’s not much for us, it means a lot to the children. Making people happy has no price."

He justifies his beautiful gesture. "As Muslims, we must set an example. I did this for God, not for the media or to make money. Orphans have a special place in our religion, in the Quran and for our Prophet. Seeing an orphan smile makes us smile too," said the one who grew up in a suburb, adding that there is exemplary solidarity between the inhabitants of the suburbs, something that the media often do not show. "Even if we don’t speak French properly, we also have a heart and valuable ideas."
