Moroccan Battery Pioneer Rachid Yazami Commits to Developing Project at Home

Scientist Rachid Yazami denied all the rumors about his trip to the United States to develop his lithium-ion battery project.
It was on his Facebook page that Mr. Yazami silenced all controversy over an alleged expatriation to the United States, as a rumor had suggested.
"I have read on some social networks the news that I would be leaving for the USA to develop projects related to lithium batteries, in particular on ultra-fast chargers. This is not the case," he said in his post.
However, the researcher did not hide the interest shown by an American company in his project. He stressed that "the only news is that indeed a large American company has expressed an interest in this technology and that this company will be the first in the world to commercialize these ultra-fast chargers."
The physicochemist did not miss the opportunity to demonstrate his determination to carry out this scientific adventure in his country, Morocco. "This information does not detract from my determination to develop my Lithium Battery projects in Morocco, including a Gigafactory for the production of batteries and that of ultra-fast charging systems," he added.
"Thank you in any case for the support of my Moroccan compatriots and the desire to see this technology develop in Morocco," he concluded.
For the record, Rachid Yazami is a Moroccan scientist of international renown. He is the inventor of the graphite anode and currently resides in Singapore where he continues his research work at KVI Holding, of which he is the founder. However, he remains committed and very active for the scientific influence of the Kingdom.
