Moroccan Banks Limit Branch Access to Curb COVID-19 Spread

The Professional Group of Banks of Morocco (GPBM) is taking the measure of the country’s health situation and is thinking first and foremost of protecting bank customers. It has decided to limit to 5 or 10 the number of customers who can access a bank branch at the same time.
It is in a press release that the GPMB has informed of its latest decision, which takes into account the measures taken by the authorities to fight against the spread of the coronavirus. Henceforth, access to bank counters will be regulated by the bank’s security guard at the entrance. "To this end, we ask for your cooperation to ensure the smooth running of any waiting of customers outside the bank," the press release states.
While ensuring its availability to further streamline customer traffic and the execution of banking operations, the GPMB urges customers to prioritize the use of bank cards in order to avoid physical contacts that could lead to potential contamination.
The GPMB Group points out that this is not a matter of liquidity, but a matter of responsibility in the face of the current crisis.
