Moroccan Banks Boost Tech Hiring, Dominate IT and Electronics Recruitment

Moroccan banks have recruited a lot this year. They have used IT profiles as well as experienced candidates or holders of a BAC+5 degree.
IT and electronics account for 57% of the offers proposed by these banks, reports L’Économiste citing Top Rekruteurs de Rekrute.com. These two areas of expertise have been the most sought after, just behind call center jobs, which account for two-thirds of the companies’ requests. "Out of the 199 positions opened by the banks last month, the function concentrated 112 recruitments, or 57%," specifies the recruitment site. In addition to the banks, telecoms/networks (18% of offers), project management/studies/R&D (8%), banking jobs (7%) and management/accounting/finance (5%) follow.
Due to the health crisis, banks have also recruited database administrators, senior research & development officers and remote customer service representatives. Banks have also been very demanding on the profile of their future employees who, in addition to a BAC+5 degree, must have several years of experience (5 to 10 years) or 3 to 5 years (1/4 of the offers).
In total, 4,769 positions were created in 2020, down 19.2% compared to the same period in 2019 due to the coronavirus.
