Tens of millions of dirhams diverted from client accounts: Daniel Ziouzio, 55, director of the Moroccan Union of Banks agency in Tetouan, was arrested and placed in custody.

His accomplice, his cashier, and he would have diverted millions of dirhams. According to the first testimonies collected from the victims, Daniel Ziouzio, who is also one of the administrators of the struggling Moghreb de Tetouan football club since last year, took deposits ranging from a few thousand dirhams to accounts with hundreds of millions. Another man, who had saved 270,000 dirhams over the years, only found 2,000 dirhams. A woman whose deposit was 1 million dirhams only found 1,900 dirhams. Another woman saw her 450,000 dirhams deposit disappear completely, just like a woman whose 370,000 dirhams deposit completely disappeared. A merchant claims to have lost 3 million dirhams. A man was stunned to find that he had lost 120,000 dirhams, the savings of his entire life. His son lost 200,000 dirhams, while his wife lost 12,000 dirhams.
