Moroccan Authorities Recover $200,000 in High-Profile Theft from Ex-Mauritanian First Lady

More is known about the case of the theft of the sum of 2.6 million dirhams from the car of the wife of the former Mauritanian president in Bouznika. In total, ten people were arrested and placed in pre-trial detention at the Oukacha prison.
According to a source close to the investigation, the gendarmes would have recovered 2 million dirhams out of the 2.6 stolen from the trunk of the car of the former First Lady of Mauritania, reports Al Massae. On the orders of the Attorney General of the King near the Court of Appeal of Casablanca, the ten accused involved in this case of theft were placed in pre-trial detention at the Oukacha prison for criminal conspiracy and aggravated theft.
A few days ago, the vehicle of the former First Lady of Mauritania had been vandalized and burgled at a rest area in Bouznika as she was going to finalize a notarial deed. In total, a sum of 2.6 million dirhams deposited in the trunk of the car had been stolen. After this finding, she had filed a complaint with the gendarmerie brigade of Bouznika. The elements of this brigade conducted an investigation which proved fruitful. Thanks to the cameras installed in the boulevards and streets, they discover that the driver of the former President Mohamed Ben Abdelaziz was involved in the burglary. The investigators arrest him.
He confesses and denounces his nine other accomplices. The investigators go to Casablanca and manage to arrest them in the Anassi and Lahraouyine neighborhoods before placing them in custody for the needs of the investigation.
