Moroccan Authorities Issue International Warrant for Lebanese Businessman in Marrakech Fraud Case

An international arrest warrant has been issued against a Lebanese residing in Marrakech for 22 years, accused of having defrauded businessmen and deputies in Morocco, before fleeing, without his children and his wife.
The Lebanese is known in the business world. In Marrakech, where he had been living for 22 years, he was the manager of a luxury and used car sales company located on Boulevard Abdelkarim El Khattabi, reports Al Akhbar. He did business with other businessmen, entrepreneurs and deputies. With sales promotions, facilities and after-sales services, he managed to have a clientele. During the health crisis related to Covid-19, he granted credits to his clients with exclusive interest rates and facilities.
Now a credible businessman in the eyes of the clientele, the Lebanese commits a large-scale fraud. He sells his shares in the company to a famous businessman in the Rehamna province of Marrakech, hands over several bounced checks to other entrepreneurs and farmers in the region and in other cities of the country, before disappearing from the radar. The creditors seized the justice system. Investigations then began.
According to the investigators, the Lebanese left Morocco for a European country and will then return to his homeland. An international arrest warrant has been issued against him.
