Moroccan Air Force Arrives in Israel for Unprecedented US-Led Military Exercise

A Moroccan air force plane landed on Sunday at the Hatzor military base, located in central Israel. A first.
A C-130 cargo plane of the Royal Moroccan Air Force landed for the very first time on Sunday at the Hatzor military base, located in central Israel, on the eve of the start of a multinational military exercise scheduled for this week, under the command of the United States of America, reports the Hebrew site Walla.
The Tsahal spokesman has not, for the moment, provided any details on the number of soldiers, the composition of the crew on board or the duration of their stay, nor on a possible participation of Moroccan army soldiers in this exercise.
"Tsahal cooperates with various foreign countries and armies, while conducting exercises, high-level meetings, joint research and development. We will not talk about cooperation with a particular country," he said.
Morocco normalized its diplomatic relations with Israel in December last year in exchange for the American recognition of the Moroccanness of the Sahara. Since then, the two parties have been working to strengthen their military cooperation.
