Moroccan Actor from ’Ali Zaoua’ Found Dead in Casablanca, Sparking Calls for Investigation

The lifeless body of Mounïm Kbab, the main actor in the cult film Ali Zaoua, was found near a railway track in Casablanca. His disappearance, which occurred under mysterious circumstances, has caused a strong emotion and many questions. Moroccan activists are now calling for the opening of an investigation to shed light on this tragedy.
The actor, who had marked the minds by his interpretation in the feature film by Nabil Ayouch, had been missing for several days. After intense searches, his body was found in an isolated place in the metropolis. On social networks, the announcement of his death has triggered a wave of tributes.
Director Nabil Ayouch also expressed his sadness. On Instagram, he shared his emotion: "We met for the last time two years ago, with a lot of joy and happiness, when Ali Zaoua was re-released in theaters. I was happy to see him married and fulfilled in his life. His death is painful and has deeply affected me. My sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. Allah y rahmo."
It should be remembered that Nabil Ayouch had decided to re-release Ali Zaoua in theaters, twenty years after its initial release. The proceeds from this new exploitation were donated to the four main actors in the film.
