Moroccan Activists Push for Individual Freedoms Ahead of Elections

Two years after its creation, the Moroccan Outlaws collective is launching a consultation on love and individual freedoms in Morocco. The members of this collective are committed to changing the law on individual freedoms in Morocco and are surprised by the silence of political actors on the subject throughout the election campaign.
#VOTE4LOVE: under this hashtag, the feminist collective is calling on Moroccans. More than a campaign, it is a call for a sanction vote in order to draw the attention of citizens to the issue of individual freedoms, the great forgotten of the political parties’ programs in this electoral period.
"We are calling on civil society as a whole, lawyers, doctors, intellectuals, artists and politicians to give us their opinion on the question of what solutions are possible when, as in Morocco, the law and love collide," explain the Moroccan Outlaws in a statement.
