Montpellier Pursues Moroccan World Cup Star Attiat-Allah as Wydad Demands Higher Fee
Announced close to a transfer to Ligue 1, the Moroccan player Yahya Attiat-Allah is at the heart of major negotiations between Wydad Casablanca and Montpellier.
Targeted to occupy the left-back position at Montpellier, the 27-year-old Moroccan defender hopes to see the preliminary negotiations for his transfer come to fruition. After his good performances at the World Cup, he hopes to play in Europe.
According to Foot Mercato, Montpellier made a first offer of 500,000 euros deemed insufficient by Wydad Casablanca, who are demanding at least one million euros. Is the Casablanca club raising the stakes in order to keep its player? Negotiations are ongoing. In addition to Montpellier, other clubs are interested in the player’s profile and could make much higher offers than that of Montpellier.
