Mohamed Ouahbi is already making his mark differently from Walid Regragui
The new national coach has expressed his total commitment to continuing the work done by the previous technical staff. The stated objective is to preserve the achievements while developing the performance of the Atlas Lions during the next competition period.
Mohamed Ouahbi has specified that the criteria for selecting players will no longer be based on names or past experience, but on their current state of preparation. "There will be no difference between a young player and an experienced player," he emphasized.
The technician ensures that he closely follows the various championships, whether local or international. The opportunity will be systematically granted to every player capable of displaying the best level of preparation and proving their real value on the green rectangle.
The staff of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) is being strengthened with the arrival of Portuguese João Sacramento as the first assistant. With experience alongside José Mourinho, his expertise will be complemented by other appointments expected in the coming days.
Regarding the backbone of the group, Mohamed Ouahbi rules out any idea of a brutal revolution. He advocates an evolutionary continuity: "There is work that must continue and development that must continue, especially since we have excellent great players."
Beyond the administrative clauses, the coach evokes a "moral contract" to complete the project started under the previous era. His ambition is to maintain a positive energy to allow Morocco to impose itself against any world selection.
