Mohamed Ihattaren Signals Departure from RKC Waalwijk After Recent Victory

Mohamed Ihattaren has hinted that he wishes to leave RKC Waalwijk. The Dutch attacker of Moroccan origin wants to explore new horizons, but still in the Eredivisie.
"I’m happy with the victory, but at the same time disappointed. I have the feeling that this was my last match with RKC. To be clear: it’s a feeling, nothing is certain yet. But I think most people know that this was my last match for RKC," Ihattaren said after the victory against Go Ahead Eagles (5-3), confirming rumors about his transfer.
For now, the next destination of the former PSV and Ajax player is unknown. "My agent (José Fortes Rodriguez, ed.) knows what I want. We often talk about everything that’s happening. I hope I can make a good decision in a few weeks. I hope I can take a nice step forward. As long as nothing is certain yet, I can’t say much more," he confided.
What is certain is that the young 23-year-old striker prefers to continue his career in the Dutch league. "My agent knows that I really want to stay in the Netherlands. I feel that I’m not finished here yet." The former Ajax player wants to "continue to play a lot of minutes. Take step-by-step milestones towards the top."
While waiting for his potential transfer, Ihattaren plans to enjoy his vacation. "The first thing I’m going to do now is take a few days off. Then I’ll continue to work quietly for myself and I’ll see when José calls me. Wherever I go, I’ll take my mother with me."
