Mohamed-Amine Set to Become Top Compound Name for Boys in France in 2024

A compound name of Arab origin should top the top 10 list of compound names for boys in France in 2024.
Mohamed-Amine. This is the compound name of Arab origin that many parents should give to their son and which should rise to the top of the ranking of the top 10 names for boys in 2024, established by Claire Tabarly-Perrin and Stéphanie Rapoport. This name should succeed Mohamed-Ali, first in the 2023 ranking.
The compound name Mohamed-Amine began in 2008. "On the one hand, it has supplanted Jean-Baptiste, which had reigned supreme since 1981. On the other hand, its consecration has reinforced the breakthrough of Arab compositions," the experts said. According to INSEE, 82 births were recorded under this name in 2022. Three other compound names Mohamed-Ali (the return), Mohamed-Lamine and Chems-Eddine should make their entry into the top 10 next year.
On the girls’ side, it is the compound name Lily-Rose that should take first place in 2024. It is followed by the nine other compound names: Lou-Ann (or Lou-Anne), Anna-Rose, Marie-Lou, Fatima-Zahra, Lila-Rose, Nina-Rose, Mai-Ly, Léa-Rose and Emma-Rose.
