Migrant Tragedy: Two Moroccan Girls Rescued, Mother Lost in Mediterranean Shipwreck

A Moroccan national lost her life in the sinking of a migrant boat off the Italian coast. According to the statement from the Navy in Sicily, her two children were able to be rescued during the rescue operation.
The Italian security services were able to identify the victim and her two daughters thanks to the passports found in their belongings. They were placed at the Center for the Integration of Foreigners in Lampedusa.
According to the Italian coast guard, 143 migrants were rescued following the sinking of the said boat, while 20 others are still missing. 4 rescue teams were mobilized to carry out this operation.
Two men among the survivors said they had lost track of their wives after the shipwreck, and despite the searches, the rescue teams have still not been able to locate them.
