Lionel Messi comforts the Argentine team that was beaten by Morocco in the U20 World Cup final. The captain of the Albiceleste invites his young compatriots to "keep their heads high", despite this defeat.
The young Argentine players received the support of Messi after their defeat on Monday against Morocco in the final of the U20 World Cup held in Chile. In a message on Instagram, the Argentine international invited them to "keep their heads high". "You had an impressive tournament and even though we all wanted to see you win the Cup, we keep the joy of everything you gave us and the pride of seeing you defend the colors of the country with your heart," he added.
The Argentines had a flawless run in this U20 World Cup in Chile, winning their five matches before the final, during which they conceded only two goals. But they were stopped by the Atlas Lions who were crowned champions thanks to a brace from Yassir Zabiri, narrowly missing out on winning this title for the seventh time.
