Mentally Unstable Man Arrested for Disrupting Church Service in French Town

Considered psychologically unstable, a Moroccan was arrested on Tuesday in Mantes-la-Jolie (Yvelines), for having disturbed prayer in a church.
The incident is reported by Cnews, which indicates that the 27-year-old man entered the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church to engage in "loud Muslim prayers." He "spoke loudly and disturbed the prayer," said the parishioners and the parish priest.
All attempts to bring the individual concerned to order were in vain. "No one had ever seen him here before. He was asked to be quiet, then to leave, as he did not calm down. Finally, the police were called," it is said.
However, assures the diocese of Versailles, "this is someone who is psychologically fragile, not a fanatic or a radicalized Muslim. We cannot say that similar profiles, wanting to pray Muslim in a church, often occur in our diocese."
According to the channel’s sources, the accused, of Moroccan origin, "is subject to an Obligation to Leave French Territory and a residence assignment imposed by the prefect of Calvados."
