Mentally Ill Man Kills 3, Injures 2 in Violent Attack in Taounate, Morocco

A man suffering from mental disorders violently attacked several people with a stick on Saturday in Douar Rass El Koudia, in the province of Taounate. This unheard-of violence resulted in the death of an elderly woman and two children aged 7 and 9, and injured two women and a 4-year-old girl.

The victims were evacuated to the provincial hospital of Taounate to receive the necessary care, thanks to the local authorities and the services of the Royal Gendarmerie and Civil Protection who quickly went to the scene. The 4-year-old girl was transported to the University Hospital Center (CHU) of Fès, reports the MAP.

As for the aggressor, he was arrested and an investigation was opened under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office to elucidate the circumstances of this case.
