Massive Gas Depot Fire in Morocco Contained, No Casualties Reported

The fire that broke out around 6 p.m. on Thursday in a gas depot in Mohammedia is completely under control, according to local authorities.
In a statement, the local authorities announced the complete control of the fire. Although significant material damage was recorded, no loss of life is to be deplored.
"Only material losses are regretted: five tanker trucks caught fire out of the seven present on site, with a load of eight tons each. The intervention teams secured the area adjacent to the warehouse and evacuated the residents in anticipation of any potential damage," the statement reads.
An investigation has been opened under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office and will have to determine the causes of this fire. But according to some sources, it all started with a mishandling at the level of a tanker truck.
