Massive Fire Destroys Dozens of Huts in Moroccan Fishing Village Near Dakhla

A fire ravaged the fishing village of Bourida located in the Dakhla region. The fire consumed more than sixty huts. No loss of human life is to be deplored.
The fishing village of Bourida, located south of the city of Dakhla, almost disappeared from the map. A fire hit this village last Saturday, which was aggravated by the presence of fuel canisters stored in these fishing shelters and the strength of the winds, reports Al Akhbar. Alerted, the firefighters, the local authorities and the mobile intervention auxiliary forces managed to control and extinguish the fire in two hours.
Fortunately, there were no casualties. But the material damage is enormous: more than 60 huts destroyed, fishing boat engines, fishing nets and other materials used during boarding on fishing boats completely destroyed by the fire.
This is not the first time a fire has broken out in this village. A few days earlier, the flames had touched this village, destroying four huts. The fire was contained thanks to the quick intervention of the fishermen on site. Still in the city of Dakhla, another fishing village, "la Sarga", was ravaged by the fire. In total, 200 huts were completely devastated by the fire. No casualties were recorded.
