Marrakech Taxi Fares Surge, Sparking Passenger Outrage

In Marrakech, grand taxi fares have increased to the dismay of travelers. They now have to pay much more than before.
The drivers of the grand taxis at the Marrakech train station, especially those to the outskirts of the city, have increased the transport fare between 10 dirhams and 20 dirhams, causing discontent among passengers, reports Kech24, noting that these increases are observed on each occasion, such as school holidays and holidays related to festivals.
Passengers going to the station to look for a means of transport during these periods have to face doubled prices, without any clear justification from the drivers or the station managers, adds the same source. Those who try to inquire about the reasons for this increase only receive contempt.
For now, the authorities have not yet intervened to put an end to this situation.
