Marrakech Real Estate Prices Rise as Residential Sales Surge in Q2 2023

In the second quarter of 2023, the real estate market in Marrakech observed a general price increase of 0.7%, according to data just released by Bank Al Maghrib and the National Agency for Land Conservation, Cadastre and Cartography.
In the residential segment, prices rose by 0.6%. Land, on the other hand, saw an increase of 0.5%. In contrast, professional assets showed a more pronounced increase, reaching 1.2%.
On the transactions side, the market is bustling with an overall increase of 5.4%. This dynamism is largely driven by residential properties, whose sales have soared by 11.5%. But not everything is rosy. Land and commercial properties saw their sales decline by 0.8% and 21.9% respectively.

• Apartments: Despite a 0.8% price drop, transactions increased by 20.2%.
• Houses: These properties experienced a 2.8% increase and a 20.4% increase in transactions.
• Villas: A 5% price increase, but an 8.5% decrease in sales.
• Urban land: The increase is modest at 0.5%, and transactions increased by 5.5%.
• Commercial premises: A 1.4% increase in prices is opposed to a 2.5% drop in transactions.
• Offices: The category recorded a drastic 8.2% drop in prices and a 40.7% drop in sales.
