Marrakech parking attendant arrested after demanding 40 dirhams

The incident took place in a shopping complex in the medina. A dispute broke out when the parking attendant asked the driver to pay 40 dirhams for parking and hand over his car keys.

The video triggers police intervention

Officers from the fourth district of the medina exploited the recording and conducted investigations that allowed them to identify the parking attendant. He was arrested on Wednesday, July 29 and taken to the police station.

Investigators also questioned the motorist to verify the facts and clarify the circumstances of the incident. The parking attendant is now the subject of a judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office.
