Manchester City’s Moroccan Prospect Nabil Touaizi Joins Espanyol’s Reserve Team

After spending more than three years with Manchester City’s reserve team, the Spanish-Moroccan Nabil Touaizi has just signed a new contract with the El Espanyol club.
The young Moroccan has been recruited by the Liga formation, reports the specialized site AS, which specifies that the amount of the transaction is unknown but it should not be high since he will join the reserve club and not the Liga 1 club.
Native of the Murcia region, Nabil Touaizi joined Valencia, who recruited him for their youth team, before being bought by the English club for the sum of 300,000 euros to join the under-18s. During his English journey, he played not only with the under-18s but also the under-19s and under-23s, writes the specialized site. In total, he scored 30 goals in 80 appearances with his club.
The Moroccan-Spanish also tried his hand at the first division in July 2019 when Pep Guardiola called on him for a friendly match against the Kitchee club in Hong Kong.
In a statement to the site, the one who has already played matches with Spain, said he had several offers from "important clubs" but he chose El Espanyol, because the club has a long history of football. Nabil Touaizi has until 2024 to prove himself.
