Man Rushes King Mohammed VI’s Motorcade in Rabat, Quickly Detained

A young man rushed the royal procession on Friday, October 11, as it left the Parliament building, where King Mohammed VI had presided over the opening of the new parliamentary session.
The video, taken by Akhbarona, shows the individual’s attempt to reach the royal convoy at the Rabat-ville train station, before the Sovereign’s security service intervened and brought him to the ground.
The site adds that the young man had apparently intended to deliver a letter to the monarch, responding to the clamor of many citizens awaiting his passage.
The man risks a heavy sentence, especially since the Ministry of the Interior had issued a warning against individuals obstructing "the circulation and passage of the royal procession to benefit from certain advantages".
