Major Highway Crash Near Kenitra Causes Extensive Traffic Jam in Morocco

A serious road accident occurred last night on the highway connecting Tangier to Rabat, about thirty kilometers from Kenitra.
The number of injured is not yet known. But, according to eyewitnesses, a traffic jam of several kilometers formed yesterday shortly after 9 p.m. On the spot, a goods transport truck had overturned on the roadway, blocking the two lanes and thus preventing the passage of vehicles.
On site, gendarmes as well as vehicles from the Moroccan Motorways company were present to try to regulate traffic.
It should be noted, once again, the irresponsibility of some drivers who did not hesitate to drive on the emergency lanes, with all the consequences this could have on the rapid arrival of emergency services.
